Coking plant work has the following hazards to the body:
1. There are a lot of carcinogens in the waste gas leaked from the coke oven with poor air tightness, and benzene and its homologues are the main components.
2. Human exposure to high temperature radiation will affect cell metabolism and increase the possibility of disease.
3. Dust caused by pulverized coal and soot can lead to reduced lung function and even pneumoconiosis.
4. Most factories are still using asbestos ropes that have been eliminated, which is a kind of carcinogen.
5. Workers at the front line of the coke oven generally suffer from work shifts that affect their rest and cardiopulmonary function.
At present, the main measures to control smoke and dust in coking plants are:
①A huge dust extraction system is installed on the coke side to completely solve the dust problem of pushing coke.
② Dry coke quenching is adopted. Since coke quenching is cooled by circulating inert gas in a closed system, the interior of the system is isolated from the atmosphere, so the emission of dust can also be greatly reduced.
③Using dust removal coke quenching tower, set up dust catcher in the traditional wet coke quenching tower to reduce the dust brought out by coke quenching by 60-70%.
④Using high-pressure ammonia water anthracite to replace the past steam injection anthracite. Since the steam pressure of most coking plants cannot be guaranteed, it cannot play the role of anthracite coal charging. After switching to high-pressure ammonia water, the injection pressure is guaranteed, and the effect is better than that of steam. Under the condition of double gas collectors, there is almost no smoke when charging coal.
